Your business is not your “baby”

LISTEN UP!

I do not want to hear anyone else say that their business is "their baby."

Here's why.

Being a business owner takes a level of detachment. The ability to step back and neutrally analyze what is working and what is not working in the business from a 100,000 ft. view. You should be able to look at the financials, make hard choices, and make strategic goals for the future.

We would NEVER do this about our babies. (even our pet babies). We don't weigh the pros and cons or think about them strategically. We love them unconditionally. We don't have strong boundaries with them because we would literally do anything for them.

This is NOT the energy I want you to have about your business.

I want you to feel tapped in. Lit up. Inspired. Passionate about your work and grateful everyday that you are living and working in your Superpowers.

BUT your business needs you to be able to disconnect from the emotional history of it all, make hard choices when necessary, and make sure it is profitable and successful.

This is very different from unconditional love.
